I actually don't have any intention of giving up my US citizenship, and I'm interested in finding out if dual citizenship is possible in Sweden. There are still so many things that I need to learn about your society, government and culture. I don't expect this transition to be a smooth sailing, I need to prepare myself for the many challenges that's ahead of me. Sure, I have my concerns, like leaving my family behind would probably be the hardest one, giving up my job, losing my friends, and so forth. But I also don't want to get discouraged. If things don't work out for me in Sweden, I can always come back to New York. I believe that life is what you make out of it... and nothing in this world is a sure thing. You have to be a little bit of a risk taker to make a difference. I don't know what my future holds..but I know what my present is -- that I love him and I want to be with him. And you know, that's why it's called "present", because it's a "gift"... you should live your life for today and not for tomorrow. About those Swedish men who fool around with their wives... some American men fool around with their wives, too... and some German men fool around with their wives, too... etc... etc... I think what you meant was "some married MEN fool around with their wives," being Swedish doesn't have anything to do with the other. I enjoyed reading your letter. Thanks again for your comments.
