I traveled there last fall a couple of times, and positively fell in love with Stockholm. I'm moving there in May, and am desperately trying to locate work there, either contract or permanent, in the consulting/telecommunications fields. It's hard work, especially for non-Swedes, and I'm learning, particularly for Americans. I've got an Irish citizenship application pending, which will hopefully open some EU doors for me. I recommend this path to anyone with eligibility for such citizenship within the EU nations. My search has revealed what Dionne confirms: if you're not speaking Swedish, you've got a long road ahead. I've gone through American companies and placement agencies, but the pickings are slim. Realizing how expensive it is, I'm hoping to find either temporary work while I search, or permanent work quickly. But any advice anyone can give about English-speaking companies in Sweden would be heartily appreciated. Thanks to everyone for all their valuable information!!! Good luck!!!
