How can you assume that the SWEDE was the controlling factor of the big move to Sweden? If you feel that that is the case, then I don't know WHAT type of relationship you are in. My fiancee is Swedish and the most open minded guy I know. He NEVER pushed me to go anywhere and since this is such a huge step and move, it took alot out of BOTH of us. It definitely depends on what you like best (and should NOT be based off a controlling partner in the first place!). I just happen to prefer Sweden's nature and safe environment and Europe's work ethic. Not to mention that *I* myself wanted to go and experience it for myself. And to say that Swede's believe in "Swedo-centricism" sounds like a Nazi term that I find as a horrible generalization. Sure there's prejudice in every country and some people here really LOVE their country... like the U.S. isn't one of them?! If I wanted to move back to the U.S... my man would follow me in a minute. So I just want you to know that it would have been equally hard for a Swede to move to the U.S. as much as the other way around. And lifestyle IS the deciding factor in most cases! Myleen |
