The law can be found in FB (Föräldrabalken) 6:1 1§: "Barn har rätt till omvårdnad, trygghet och en god fostran. Barn skall behandlas med aktning för sin person och egenart och får inte utsättas för kroppslig bestraffning eller annan kränkande behandling." Some pretty tough Swedish, here's my best translation: "Children have the right to care, security, and good upbringing. Children shall be treated with respect of their person and uniqueness and shall not be exposed to physical punishment or other insulting treatment." I think that gets the idea of it.
