Hi!
This is the first time I have been at this site. I know quite a lot about my Irish grandparents but not much about my Swedish family. I would love to hear from anyone who knows about my family members I really don't
know where to begin looking and would appreciate it very much.

What I know, beginning with my dad and going back in a direct line:

-Walter R. Frank (born in NYC '36, grew up in Falmouth, Mass)

-Axel Emil Frank (born Boston area 1905, shortly after family immigrated to U.S.)
-married Ella Kennedy (immigrated here from Ireland)

-Carl Johan (Carlson) Frank (born 6/3/1872 in Tutaryd, Kronöberg, changed name to Frank while in military,
was a machinist)
-married Caroline Petterson

-Sven August Carlson (10/30/1845 in Tutaryds, Kronöberg, stonecutter)
-married Bothilda Jacobson/Jacobdottir (b.11/11/1849, Bösarp, Malmöhus)

-Carl Johan Israelson (11/9/1899 in Ljunge, Kronöberg)
-married Sara Lena Anders(dottir) b. 9/1/1805, Ljunge, Kronöberg

Israel Carlson (8/4/1785, musically talented, played in palace concerts)
-married Marta Svensdottir (b. 1792)

My paternal great grandmother was Caroline Petterson (wife of great grandfather, Carl Johan Carlson/Frank).
She had two sisters, Louisa and Anna. They never married. Their parents died, in Sweden, when the girls were very young. They were raised in foster homes and all eventually moved to the U.S.

My grandfather and his siblings:

-Carl Alfred Alexander (born in Vaxjo, Sweden, highly intelligent-graduated high school at 12, was to begin
university but died of pneumonia)

-Eric Hugo (1901-early '60s, born in Vaxjo)

-Axel Emil (grandfather, born in U.S. 1905, died '89)

-Walter (1907, drowned when 8 or 9)

-Henry August (1908 or 9-1984)

-Carl Alfred (1911-1983)

Henry was a really neat guy. He was principal of Falmouth (Mass.) High School for many years. His obit says that he played football for the Washington Redskins and baseball for the Boston Braves?? (I saw the obit many years ago so I am not positive which baseball team he played for). An injury ended his sports career and that is when he moved to education. I really enjoyed the trips we made to his home in Falmouth, Mass when I was little. It seems clear in the obit that he was well known and loved. He had three children, Mimi, Donald, and ?. Surname Frank. As far as I know, they are all still on the Cape. They would be in their late 50's, early 60's?

Thanks for any help!!
