Hej ! I am a Canadian who spent a decent amount of time living in Sweden. I met my wife there and together we moved back to Canada, my homeland. Being married to a Swedish woman I have found myself getting very involved in her native land and its' history. In particular in its' history as it pertains to my homeland. Incredibly, I have discovered our histories, like her and I, are very much intertwined and related. married so to speak. Unlike her and I, the ties that bind these two wonderful, beautiful, bountiful and majestic lands are shrouded in unfamiliarity, ignorance and shaded skepticism. Afterall, it would require some massive overhauling to the historical archives of thought if it became readily acceptable that Lief Erricson was the first European to grace Canadian soil and not John Cabot. To an amateur historian and part-time researcher this holds a great deal of interest. If you are intrigued by discovering just how close Canada and Sweden are in historical ties, social awareness, commerce, government and thought, write to me and together maybe we can uncover a history that has long been overlooked. Tack och jag hoppas vi pratar snart! Adjo,
